I first visited Ireland in 2015 on whim, driven by a need to seek refuge from the monotony and frustration of my daily grind in New York City. Pining for warm pubs, cold seas and kind people; I set out on a three week exploration of a country I knew little about and had no preconceived itinerary to follow.
I returned from that trip having been infected with a chronic curiosity. A curiosity for the people around me both known and strangers, for their stories, for their perspectives as well as a curiosity for myself. Through a handful of subsequent trips over the course of the following years, equipped with a camera and a few words as Gaeilge; I followed that curiosity.
The images here are moments of admiration and appreciation for an Island doused in stories that have shaped me as a person and as an artist.
